The tape was declared dead in 2011. This year, the last German photocopying plant stopped its production. But the compact cassette was never really dead. Lovers of radioplays in particular continued to like to reach for it.
Unthinkable that only 35 years ago cassetts and vinyl records were competing in a tight contest on the music market. But soon they were displaced by compact disks, short CD, which were soon irreplaceable for music fans.
